Multidisciplinary study submitted as part of the competition for the complete renovation of the building 10 envelope (Meurice Institute) on the Ceria campus.
The overall concept introduced for this project is the prefabricated second skin.
This involves the application of insulated wooden panels (factory-made) to the facade. These are then covered with decorative panels. These second skin elements are designed to be environmentally friendly and offer high insulation performance.
Furthermore, to highlight the building’s gables, which perfectly face the cardinal points, a polychrome cladding is proposed to enliven the facades and emphasize the general orientations.
The objective is to utilize color spectra that correspond to the evolution of sunlight from sunrise to sunset. This serves to differentiate the Meurice Institute from other campus buildings and to distinguish each of its wings.
