In the heart of the village of Emines, the construction of a new sports hall and the development of its surroundings reinforce the various community hubs located in the immediate vicinity, such as the Cultural Center, the nursery, and the school.
Desired by the Municipality of La Bruyère for almost thirty years, the new facilities include: a sports area for numerous sports, four player changing rooms, two referee changing rooms, an infirmary, a cafeteria, a meeting room, a storage area, and an office.
Outside, the building is adorned with red bricks, resonating with the local architecture, light grey cladding, and darker metallic cladding, referencing the more modern and dynamic sports volume. As for the main hall’s envelope, it is made of smooth, medium-grey steel panels.
In front of the Sports Center, a square has also been created. It is defined as a meeting place, an interconnection space between the various community hubs, of which the complex is now a part, and as an important link in Emines’ soft mobility network.
