La Vinothèque

In this project, we started from scratch to build La Vinothèque 2.0, a 400 m² hall for wine storage, exhibition, and sales.

The aim was to create a building that simultaneously combined exhibition space, storage, offices, and a room entirely dedicated to tastings and workshops. These functions therefore needed to each have their dedicated location, while also being interconnected.

Accordingly, on the ground floor, the space is occupied by the exhibition and storage of wine bottles and gourmet products.

The tasting and workshop room, as well as the offices, are located on the upper floor.

Externally, La Vinothèque is clad with smooth, non-glossy metal sheets to avoid the overly industrial appearance of corrugated metal panels and to maintain a connection with the residential and mixed-use area.

Finally, the glazed section facing the street, extending through to the rear facade, is intended as an opening onto the Meuse valley and the dense, green network in the background panorama.

Ultimately, La Vinothèque by UMAN is an externally simple-looking volume, compact and massive, designed as a balanced, coherent, and harmonious entity with the existing buildings, combining residential and mixed-use economic activity zones.
