Creation of an innovative and sustainable ecosystem in Visé, combining coworking spaces, business services, soft mobility solutions, and tourist accommodation.
The main feature of this project was to address the challenge of combining a public and a private space, both located on the same plot.
To achieve this, we conducted a macro and micro analysis, placing human considerations at the heart of our reflection on landscape and urban planning. This enables us to enhance Visé’s tourist and entrepreneurial appeal, while creating a privileged space along the Meuse River that the residents of Visé will be able to make their own.
Thus, the project includes a “bikeable” hotel (specially designed for cyclists, notably with an exterior ramp allowing access to the second floor of the building by bike) with about a hundred rooms, 4,000 m² of offices, and spaces dedicated to Horeca, all surrounded by a large public park comprising, among other things, rest areas, meeting and play spaces, an esplanade, a landscaped area, and a skate park.
Due to the narrowness of the plot, the building’s spatial development is primarily longitudinal, without sacrificing a certain width that promotes quality spaces.
On the site, a structuring and pedestrian axis will be implemented and dedicated to soft mobility. Its ambition is to connect the built environment to the various in-situ and ex-situ spaces, as the project positions itself as an integral part of the Visé landscape.
