Design of an aerial cable transport linking Namur city center with the esplanade of its Citadel.
Regarding the upper station, the shape of the volume is derived from the particular morphology of the pavilion near the project. This simple form helps avoid “overloading” the public space, while each building maintains its own character to preserve its identity.
The building comprises functions specific to the operation of the cable car. To conceal the technical functions as much as possible and create a cohesive unit, a micro-perforated metallic louver in gold-yellow wraps around the building and extends in front of the pavilion.
