Although construction will not start before April 2025, the future nursery in Verlaine made headlines last week !
Commissioned by the Municipality of Verlaine via an Ecetia framework agreement, this project provides a real solution to the current shortage of places, as the new facility will be able to accommodate 28 children starting in June 2026.
A “positive energy” building, the new nursery will generate its own energy through solar panels to keep the new spaces properly heated and ventilated.
But that’s not all: to further minimize energy loss, it will be insulated according to the latest PEB standards using bio-based materials such as wood fiber and cork, in line with the requirements of the Stork Plan.
